Big Fluke Fishing
Atlantic Star Regular Customer with a Big Summer Fluke |
"
Captain Tom's Specialty " The Atlantic Star traditionally has fished for big fluke for many years. Regular customers have enjoyed Captain Tom's reliable knack for finding the pods of big fish. When you come aboard for a half day fluke fishing trip, get ready for some great action. Our crew will offer to clean your fish on the way back home. |
Winter Flounder
|
"
Catch Big Bay Flounder " At the beginning of the fishing season the Atlantic Star fishes for flounder in the River & Bay. The winter flounder spawn in the rivers during the early winter, then move out of the rivers and into the bay to feed. Captain Tom sets sail for the flounder haunts as close as 15 minutes from port. You will enjoy a great day with light tackle, fishing for one of the finest eating fish our area has to offer. Don't miss out. We break fresh whole clams into pieces when we chum for flounder |
Bottom Fishing
Jack with Pool Winning Blackfish |
"
Blackfish, Seabass, Ling & Porgy " Get ready for some non-stop action with the bottom fish. Captain Tom uses depth & structure to help locate Jersey's local winter species. As soon as the water cools off from the summer, the Atlantic Star will target special areas that Captain Tom has found over the years. We use Clams for the Bottom Species. Green Crabs also available for Blackfish Watch for our upcoming segment on "The FISHBOX", titled "Bottom Fishing" on your Cable Access Channel. Stay Posted right here for times & channel. |
