Fluke: Freddy-C Style "
The Freddy-C is the expert fluke fishing boat on the bayshore. With the experience and knowledge combined, fluke don't stand a chance. Fish the well-known "Sandy Hook Channel" or "Chapel Hill". These spots are infamous for producing the large fish, and Captain Fred knows where to hold the boat to give his customers a good shot at them. The Earle Naval Pier is also a great spot, especially in the early season, just minutes away from the Leonardo State Marina.
Our crew will offer to clean your fish on the way back home.

Winter Flounder

Start your season with Flounder "
Traditionally the Freddy-C starts every season with 3/4 day trips for Winter Flounder in the nearby Shrewsbury River or the Bayshore haunts in and around Leonardo & Sandy Hook. Captain Fred zeros in on the big bay & river flatties, and knows when to anchor & chum, and when to drift. "Sometimes the fish just sit there, so anchoring & chumming is ineffective", "That's when we drift and move to where the fish are."

Spring & Fall Stripers

Best on the Bayshore "
When Captain Fred targets Striped Bass, you will be put right on the fish.
Typically these are afternoon or evening trips and since the Freddy-C is so
close to the best Striper Spots, you will be able to make the most of your
fishing time. The Stripers have different feeding habits throughout the year.
Sometimes you can't go wrong with chunking bunker, other times drifting
eels is the way to go. In the early spring, sandworms and clams work best.
This is a big part of why Captain Fred Coles & Captain Jerry Ciriello focus
their efforts on Stripers, because they have the knowledge and experience to get you the bass of a lifetime!
We use Clams for the Bottom Species. Green Crabs also available for Blackfish

Bottom Fishing

Bottom Fishing for the Winter "
"The Freddy-C starts Bottom fishing shortly after Fluke season ends, each year. Theses trips start off with Porgy & Seabass, but soon turn into Blackfish & Ling by the end of the year. Blackfishing on the Freddy-C is a sure way to fill up your fishbox with plenty of delicious bottom fish. Captain Fred sails everyday during the winter for Blackfish or "Tog". No better way to spend a day-off fishing."
We provide plenty of Green Crabs for Tautog fishing!
