Striped Bass |
"
Chunking for Stripers Fishing Day or Night " The best part about chartering the Double Down, is the quick access to the best striper fishing in Raritan Bay. As you leave Keyport, Captain Dan has dozens of spots to take you. He goes the "extra mile" to put you on fish. Chunking with fresh bunker, trolling or jigging, Dan knows whats working and where to go. |
||
Trolling for Bass |
"
Umbrella Rigs and Stretch lures " Trolling for stripers is as exciting as it is productive. Once the Double Down finds the schools, get ready for non-stop action. Bring your family or friends and feel the thrill in landing some nice bass on the troll. Trolling gear available on the boat |

Fluke fishing with Captain Dan |
"
NJ's Family Fun Fishing " The Fluke season typicall kicks off in mid-spring and continues through early or mid-fall. The Double Down is a great escape with your friends and family, for fishing up these popular NJ eating fish. Captain Dan uses his "secret weapon" fluke rigs, and continually enjoys successful catches. The kids or new anglers can learn alot about saltwater fishing, and have alot of fun doing it. Call the Double Down for a great trip for fluke. Live Killies, Spearing and Squid strips for bait. |

Have a Blast with Bluefish |
"
Troll, Jig & Chum Blues " Like it or not, Bluefish are the most agressive fish in our waters. These fish swim in large schools, and terrify the swarms of baitfish in the Raritan Bay, with their sharp teeth and furious demeanor. Bluefish, pound for pound, are one of the toughest arm wrenching fish to fight on line. Every fish you hook fights to the end, and most of the time there is plenty of non-stop action with this formidable quarry. Captain Dan prefers to find the flocks of birds that dive in swarms around the baitfish being forced to the surface by the schools of blues in the bay. When this happens, casting jigs or plugs into the frenzy can produce a bluefish on almost every cast. When the birds cannot be found, Captain Dan knows the hotspots in the NJ & NY channels that consistently hold the larger blues, for trolling or chumming. No matter how you hook up with a blue, it is sure to be one of the hardest fights you can have in the Raritan Bay. Enjoy NJ's Hardest Fighting Fish |

Blues, Weaks & Fluke |
"
Jersey Mixed Bag " Along with striped bass, other gamefish are available during the season. Fluke trips offer a nice day of drifting the channels in the bay. Weakfish run in certain areas during certain times of the year, and Captain Dan will take you right to them. Of course blues are non-stop all year long, and offer the best fight per pound than any other species. Come and get your fish. All bait, rods, reels and tackle are provided. |
